Q: What kind of insurance does Morris Insurance Agency, Inc. offer?
A: We have standard markets available for many types of insurance such as personal automobile insurance, homeowner's insurance, dwelling fire insurance, watercraft insurance, recreational vehicle insurance, motorcycle insurance, travel trailer insurance, commercial property insurance, general liability, workers compensation insurance, business owners programs, bonds, health insurance, life insurance, group accident insurance.

Q: What insurance companies does Morris Insurance Agency represent?
A: Our standard markets in personal insurance are AAA Insurance, AIG Insurance, Farmers Insurance, Foremost Insurance, Kemper Insurance, Progressive Insurance, and Safeco Insurance.  Our standard markets in commercial insurance are Ohio Casualty Group, America First Insurance, Safeco Insurance, Unitrin Insurance, and Zurich Small Business Insurance.  Additionally, we have many brokers and surplus lines companies available for all lines of business.

Q: What kind of information do you need in order to provide an insurance estimate?
A: The exact information varies depending on the coverage being requested.  However, the common information for personal insurance is your legal name, and the name of any co-applicants and household drivers, all drivers' dates of birth, social security numbers, drivers' license numbers, motor vehicle history, vehicle information (such as year, make, model, and VIN#) and current address.

Commercial Insurance estimates require legal name of insured or business, social security numbers, federal tax ID numbers, address, type of insurance being requested.  Depending on the type of insurance, specific information regarding gross sales, number of employees, number of jobs per year, number of locations, square footage of buildings, etc may be requested.

Personal information is never divulged to any other party, but the insurance rates are based upon your individual "insurance scores" which are determined by your name, address, date of birth, and social security number.

Estimates may not be accurate if you do not provide your social security number.

Q: How long does it take to get an estimate from one of your agents?
A: The length of time it takes to provide an estimate is dependent upon the type of quote being requested.  Most personal lines quotes can be done over the phone, or the estimate returned within the hour.

Commercial lines quotes tend to take a bit longer as they often need to be submitted to the companies for external rating.

Q: If I want to accept an estimate that Morris Insurance Agency provides, what do I need to do to start the policy?
A: In order to start the policy, the named insured (policy holder) needs to stop by our office to sign the application paperwork and make the required down payment.  Additional information or documentation may be required in order to provide you with the maximum discounts available.  Please feel free to confirm with our agents what information or documentation you will need to bring with you to start a policy.
